Celebrate International Women's Day (IWD) in 2021 by helping Yarra Libraries and the Women's Art Register close the gender gap in Wikipedia articles and editors in our Art + Feminism Wikipedia Edit-a-thon.

As the largest general reference work on the internet, Wikipedia is hugely popular. But just 18% of biographies on Wikipedia are about women. The Women's Art Register works to improve coverage about women artists both online and with our Hard Copy Archive at Richmond Library.

Join us, along with WikiD: women, Wikipedia, design and Wikimedia Australia, to amplify the voices of Australian women artists and designers.
Drop into Richmond Library on the 6th March between 10-2pm. No experience is required though basic computer skills are recommended. For those who are new to Wikipedia editing, the event will commence with an introductory training session shortly after 10am, with a second training session at 12.30pm.

Please bring your own laptop and power cord if needed.

Registrations required. If you have accessibility questions or requirements, please contact us at [email protected] or on 1300 695 427.
