In acknowledgement of National Homelessness Week, Yarra City Arts and Yarra Libraries have partnered with photojournalist and academic Ali MC (Alister McKeich) who has been working on a long form, multi-year project investigating experiences of homelessness in Melbourne.

Published by Al Jazeera throughout 2021, the project included an article series that saw the voices of people with lived experiences of homelessness elevated into international media along with photographic portraits.

Ali MC will also be joined by a guest presenter who will talk about their experiences of homelessness, along with a Q & A and preview of the second part of the article series, being an exhibition and analog photography book.
