Melbourne’s iconic Gertrude and Smith Streets will once again be transformed into an extravagant street party – with two live music stages and performances from musicians and artists – to celebrate Victoria’s diverse LGBTIQA+ communities.

The annual event will be newly named Victoria’s Pride (previously Melbourne Pride) and Midsumma will again deliver this in partnership with the Victorian Government.

Victoria’s Pride builds on the success of Melbourne Pride, a statewide event held across the 2021-22 summer to mark more than 40 years since the decriminalisation of sex between men in Victoria. 

The one-day street festival is to be held on Sunday 12 February 2023 on Gertrude Street, Smith Street and Peel Street Park in the City of Yarra.

The event will showcase live performances, music, circus, keynote speakers, activities, community stalls and interactive demonstrations.
