Service update:

Due to scheduled repair works, Fitzroy Library will be closed on Friday 31 May. Return chutes will be open on this day and items can be renewed online. Fitzroy Library will resume normal operating hours on Saturday 1 June.

One of Australia's oldest public libraries, Fitzroy Library is nestled beneath Fitzroy Town Hall, accessible via Moor Street. 

Established in 1877, Fitzroy Library has a dedicated local history collection, a comprehensive Aboriginal collection, study areas and meeting spaces, a dedicated children's area with gaming consoles, and collections in English, Chinese and Vietnamese.
