Justice of the Peace (JP) volunteers play an important role in the Justice system and provide a valuable and accessible service to all members of the community. They have the power to witness a range of legal documents, including statutory declarations and affidavits, and to certify true copies of documents.
You can reach a JP volunteer at Bargoonga Nganjin North Fitzroy Library every Monday between 11am and 1pm.
A JP volunteer is also available at Richmond Library on selected Tuesdays and Saturdays between 10am and 12pm:
- Tuesday 15 August
- Tuesday 29 August
- Saturday 9 September
- Saturday 23 September
This is a free service delivered by volunteers from the local community. Learn more about the role of a justice of the peace and the services they offer.
