This Library Delivers - our new and improved home library service

We're lifting the lid on Yarra Libraries' best-kept secret and announcing our new and improved home library service.

Thanks to our new network of volunteers, we are able to offer free delivery of library material to more people residing in the City of Yarra who are unable to visit our libraries. We also visit nursing homes and other institutions.

What is available to home library service customers?

The Home Library Service offers a range of library services including:

• Home Delivery
  We can deliver books, large print books, audiobooks, magazines, CDs, and DVDs in English and many other languages.
  Our team of librarians will meet with you to discuss your needs and will carefully select items based on your preferences.
  Routine, on-demand and once-off deliveries can be scheduled
• Information and printing
  We can deliver non-urgent information and printing to your home
• Basic tech help
  At-home digital coaching is currently unavailable due to COVID-19 restrictions, but may be offered in the future.

Who is eligible?

Any resident of the City of Yarra who cannot physically visit our libraries because of illness, frailty or disability is eligible.
Due to limited resources, you must have a genuine need for this free service. Residents who are temporarily housebound are also eligible.
