Maxine Funke

Sunday 01 July 2018 -

Fitzroy Library and the Ewing Trust present Library Volumes:  Maxine Funke

Library Volumes is a new and unique series of free musical events, set amongst the shelves at Fitzroy Library. It gives music lovers the chance to hear established and emerging local talent away from the usual bar-and-pub circuit.

Maxine Funke is a singer and songwriter from Dunedin, New Zealand. She is playing her first ever shows in Australia, and will be playing songs from her critically acclaimed albums Felt (2012), and Lace (2013), as well her as-yet-unreleased new album.

‘The way Ms. Funke presents herself on Felt speaks to that sort of intimacy; shes right there in the room with you……. you knew that youd discovered one of the finest singer-songwriter efforts of the last decade’.
