Fitzroy Library 

One of Australia's oldest public libraries, Fitzroy Library is nestled beneath Fitzroy Town Hall, accessible via Moor Street. 

Established in 1877, Fitzroy Library has a dedicated local history collection, a comprehensive Aboriginal collection, study areas and meeting spaces, a dedicated children's area with gaming consoles, and collections in English, Chinese and Vietnamese.

Fitzroy Library is graciously funded by the Thomas, Samuel and George Ewing Trust.

When is Fitzroy Library open?

⛔ Fitzroy Library is closed from 5pm on Wednesday 8 July 2020 until further notice.
The returns chute is also closed; please keep your items at home. All items have been renewed on your behalf until Sunday 30 August 2020.
