Yarra Libraries supports early literacy development through the delivery of preschool programs including Storytime, Babytime and Rhymetime. These programs are held weekly during school term. We also help to foster a love of learning with regular after-school programs, covering STEM subjects, arts and creativity, and run a separate specialised program every School Holidays.
When our libraries are closed, you can access videos of our storytellers and librarians reading some of their favourite books and singing familiar songs, as well as online resources that can help your children maintain literacy and a love of reading and learning while at home.
Term 3 Online!
💡We've got loads of programs prepared to get the kids reading, making, moving and learning this term. Make a backyard volcano in Lego Club, practice reading while you follow along with Fitzroy Readers, wake those muscles up during Toddler Aerobics and say hello to some familiar faces (our Children's Librarians) returning for more Stay-at-Home Storytimes plus loads of pre-recorded activities and book readings.
Be sure to bookmark our Vimeo page and check back regularly for new videos and activities: https://vimeo.com/yarralibraries
🔬 And if that's not enough to keep them going, we've got the kids covered with online entertainment and support for school.
