Online Safety and Cybersecurity - Be Connected program

Tuesday 19 October 2021

Learn how you can protect yourself online, presented by cybersecurity expert Jacqui Loustau, founder of the Australian Women in Security Network (AWSN).

About the presenter:
Jacqui Loustau studied Information Systems at University, and has completed certifications in both networking and security. A career in cybersecurity followed, including working across London and Paris for well-known industry leaders such as Siemens, before returning to Australia in 2014 to take up a senior post as Associate Director, Cybercrime Controls with the ANZ bank. Jacqui has been a passionate advocate for women in the security industry, who are under represented. This passion led to Jacqui founding the ‘Australian Women In Security Network’, an open network of people aiming to grow the number of women in the security community. The organisation’s goal is to support, inspire, and act as role models, connecting women in the industry and those looking to enter the field with the tools, knowledge, a network and platforms needed to build confidence and interest. In her current job, Jacqui provides cybersecurity advice and support to the SME market (small to medium-sized businesses), which she believes are often the most vulnerable.
